If you’re a practice owner on Facebook you’ve been targeted by people promising to get you 30 new patients in 30 days guaranteed. Sometimes the guarantee is even more outrageous with 100 new patients in 30 days or they will pay your money back plus a trip to Hawaii or some other inducement.

These are like the old timeshare sales pitch that sounds too good to be true because it is.

For starters, any marketing company that has to stoop to mega discounting their own services is not very good as a marketing company and won’t be able to provide quality service.

If their number one trick is to go to super discounting to get business for themselves, that is what they demand you do as a client.

To qualify for guaranteed patients often these outfits will insist that you run the offer they come up which commits you to practically give away your services. I’ve literally seen an offer for $14 consult with, x-rays, adjustment, and a 30-minute massage!

Yes, that does get people to respond but think of the type of new patient that it pulls in.

The discount shopper. These people disappear like water into the sand as soon as you start asking them to get on an actual care program.

With the guaranteed scam you may indeed see a hundred new patients, but all at $27 each, and end up with nobody on a main care program.

Add to this the damage to your name and brand. You’ve just made your brand the discount option of the area.

To guarantee your financial future you need to think long-term and create multiple feeder lines that create a consistent flow of qualified new patients who will come in and start care.

The relationship needs to be based on them regaining their health and ability with your assistance, not on the bone-deep discount deals.
